A chance encounter at a Backstreet Boys concert turned into our happily ever after.
Manny was in Las Vegas for work, while Kristen was there with her college best friend, Jackie, for a girls' weekend centered around seeing the Backstreet Boys. Manny's family friends were also in town for the concert, and his particularly persuasive friend, Lorie, convinced him to use their extra ticket and join them for both the show and the after-party.
As fate would have it, the after-party tickets placed Manny at Kristen and Jackie's table. Before long, Kristen struck up a conversation with him, and there was an undeniable connection from the very beginning—one of those rare feelings neither of them could ignore.
Their time together that night was brief, only about twenty minutes before Kristen had to leave, but it was enough to change everything. They spent the following weeks messaging constantly, getting to know each other from opposite sides of the country, until Manny booked a trip to New York City for their first official date.
Manny proposed during a long weekend at Walt Disney World, a place that has become incredibly special to us. Standing beneath the Tree of Life, he asked Kristen to marry him—and, as you know given that you find yourself on this website, she said yes!
It feels only fitting that we will return to that same place to begin our marriage, surrounded by the people we love most. We are excited to celebrate with you on July 18!
